the third sacrifice

You’ve been doing this for the better part of your life and you don’t have to lie to yourself that you’ve never done it before. Just like everyone else in this world you’ve made excuses as to why you either didn’t, can’t or couldn’t do what you know you’re supposed to do.

The truth is that you’re not going to do everything that people would like you to do. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try or you shouldn’t do anything just because of this. When we place things together, what you should be doing is trying, at the very least. It’s one thing to not do anything at all and it’s another thing to try and not succeed. Not doing anything should be the last thing you do because it makes you lazy and laziness kills productivity. Don’t forget that the reason for sacrifice is to increase productivity. Now you’ve understood that the excuses you make are what keep you lazy.

You have no reason as to why you choose to not do what you know you should. No reason that you make is valid, regardless of what it is you’d like to believe is the perfect justification. Excuses will hurt you more and the worst part is that you don’t feel the effects immediately however, they will always catch up to you in the future and you’ll definitely regret ever making them. That’s the worst thing about making excuses, it’s that you’ll always end up regretting making them, especially when you see someone doing what you wish you could’ve done and succeeding at it whilst your life isn’t going in the direction that you’d like for it to go. Excuses equal regret, they’re a pair and you can’t have one without the other. Think about how you’d feel if you were Ron Wayne, but who’s Ron Wayne, that’s exactly our point, he’s the man that sold his apple shares for $800 back when the company began. He could’ve been worth $35 billion today and if because of the excuse that he made, regardless of what he can say, he regrets ever making that decision.

There’re certain mind-sets that you need to adopt in order to stop making excuses. Be able to see the bigger picture even though it doesn’t seem clear and most of all when you decide to do something make sure you do it till the end, see it through and invest in it as much as you possibly can. You don’t want to live a life filled with regrets, when you become more inquisitive and speak to many older people that’s when you’ll realise that excuses really cause regret. What you see isn’t what things really are which is why asking questions is the best way to get answers especially on topics you know little about.

That’s our final sacrifice although it doesn’t end there. It wouldn’t be fair to you as a reader if we didn’t give you an in depth analysis on this final sacrifice and the most common types of excuses that you can make.
